Accor Welcomes Miami’s Berkeley Park Hotel into the MGallery Hotel Collection - Accor - Newsroom (2025)

North, Central America & Caribbean

Accor today announced that the Berkeley Park Hotel in Miami will open on April 15, 2021, as the newest member of the MGallery Hotel Collection, and the first MGallery property in Florida. A highly anticipated 4-star boutique hotel, the 80-room property sits along one of Miami Beach’s most coveted sectors known by locals as the Collins Park “Arts Corridor” for its direct access to world-renowned art institutions, and just steps from white sand beaches. With a timeless Mediterranean façade from 1936, the hotel pays homage to the city's architectural roots with all the modern amenities that discerning travelers expect.

The Berkeley Park Hotel joins the MGallery Hotel Collection, a global network of more than 100 unique addresses in 31 countries around the globe. MGallery was first created in 2008 to share a new vision of high-end accommodation: the luxury of experiencing new emotions and sensations. This ambition gave rise to a collection of storied hotels, chosen for their memorable character. Today, MGallery presents captivating, individually styled hotels: a global collection for intrepid explorers who are fueled by passion, curiosity and an interest in the world around them. Each MGallery property has its own distinctive design and story to tell, from Hotel Molitor Paris - MGallery and INK Hotel Amsterdam - MGallery to Hotel Muse Bangkok Langsuan - MGallery and Harbour Rocks Hotel Sydney - MGallery.

“MGallery is seeing impressive global growth at the moment, with more than 30 properties expected to open within the next two years. The current business climate has also opened the door for soft brands like MGallery to continue trending upward through conversion opportunities – there are so many incredible independent hotels operating across North America and worldwide that can benefit from partnering with a global hospitality leader such as Accor. The result is a tremendous growth opportunity for both,” said Heather McCrory, CEO, Accor North & Central America.

Offering unique experiences in more than 5,100 hotels and residences across 110 destinations around the globe, Accor is currently positioned as the second largest luxury operator in the U.S., with renowned luxury and premium brands including Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, SO/, MGallery and more. Iconic Accor properties include The Plaza in New York and The Savoy in London, both Fairmont managed hotels; Raffles Singapore; Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam and Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena; SO/ Bangkok; and Fairmont Century Plaza, which will make its highly anticipated debut in Los Angeles this year. Accor’s hotels are powered by ALL - Accor Live Limitless, the Group’s award-winning lifestyle loyalty platform.

“We are thrilled to continue expanding our North American portfolio with the addition of the Berkeley Park Hotel - MGallery,” said McCrory. “With its ideal location, striking architecture, and vibrant spirit, the hotel is a tremendous addition to Accor’s Miami portfolio, which also includes Faena Hotel Miami Beach, SLS South Beach, SLS Brickell, SLS LUX Brickell, Hyde Midtown Miami, Mondrian South Beach, Novotel Miami Brickell, and Pullman Miami Airport.”

“Re-launching this iconic South Beach property to bring it back to its full glory during a time when many people are itching to start traveling again has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Our additions to the property will bring a whole new vantage point to a South Beach vacation; from the unveiling of the stunning rooftop deck to insider access to local artworks,” said Marcelo Tenenbaum, Principal and Founder of development company Blue Road. “Joining Accor and the MGallery Hotel Collection helps us to share this incredible property with lovers of travel, the arts and immersive experiences from around the globe.”

Design
The exclusive hotel’s top-to-bottom $18 Million renovation embodies a creatively contemporary aesthetic, drawing inspiration from South Beach’s azure waters and vibrant culture. Staying true to its beautiful Mediterranean Revival elements, the property has retained much of its original design. The Berkeley Park Hotel - MGallery melds its historic portion with a new tower that has expanded the property around an intimate center courtyard while maintaining its sense of place.

“We’ve curated an experience where travelers can find the true, undiluted pleasures of a South Beach getaway complete with a tropical landscape, the vibrant culture that we’ve tried to infuse throughout key touchpoints in the hotel, and a casually cool vibe,” said Paola Cordoba, General Manager.

With art curated by celebrated Miami purveyor Grela Orihuela, the resort’s interior elements will include beautiful pieces by local artists that commemorate the striking flora native to Miami. The 80 turquoise-tinged contemporary guestrooms welcome travelers with rich wood elements, brass finishes and light-filled rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Amenities
Travelers looking to revel in the salty sea air and natural wonders of South Florida will enjoy an assortment of outdoor offerings just steps from the hotel, including fully-serviced beach loungers, paddle boarding through the clear-blue canals, and strolling along South Beach’s historic neighborhoods. The hotel’s enviable location also grants travelers easy access to world-class cultural institutions such as the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, The Bass Museum, and The Fillmore Miami.

The Berkeley Park Hotel’s crown jewel however, does not require leaving the hotel, as it boasts a 2,070 square foot rooftop deck complete with a swimming pool flanked by shady lounges, monthly programming for guests and locals, and breathtaking views of Miami Beach’s palm-dotted skyline.

Business travelers coming to the Magic City for any one of its annual conferences can rest easy knowing The Berkeley Park is the closest hotel to the newly renovated Miami Beach Convention Center; making the one block commute a breeze. For meetings and events that make an impact, the Berkeley Park offers a private meeting room and top-of-the-line equipment to accommodate any function.
